Finance Motion Graphics for Coinbase
We produced this motion graphics video for the leading global cryptocurrency exchange platform Coinbase to spotlight their Coinbase Prime service. Beyond the need for an explainer video with clear storytelling and a clean design, one of the essential points was to remain strictly faithful to Coinbase’s aesthetic and brand guidelines. We started by defining a minimalist geometric style, developing a wide range of visuals tailored to their visual universe.
Once these proposals were approved by the client, we compiled them into reference boards for our creative teams, a key step we systematically implement on this type of project to ensure that every visual element, from color palettes to typography, remains perfectly aligned with the brand identity
throughout the entire production process.

Before starting the animation phase of this motion graphics video, we took the time to create a hand-drawn storyboard, a crucial step to explore the many fluid transition possibilities offered by this clean graphic style. This work allowed us to build a visually coherent narrative and maintain a harmonious balance between sequences throughout the explainer video. Once shared with the client, the storyboard also made early collaboration easier: it allowed for feedback integration, adjustments to the flow if needed, and ensured full alignment on the artistic and narrative direction before moving
into production.

During the animation process, we focused on integrating key technical elements, starting with the stylized representation of Coinbase’s most common UX interfaces, carefully crafted to enhance both aesthetics and user experience. We also paid close attention to the precise synchronization between the voice-over and visuals, the controlled use of easing effects, and meticulous keyframing work, all essential to ensuring smooth and natural motion.

Every movement was thoughtfully designed to reflect the brand’s modern, intuitive, and user-centric approach. This blend of technical precision and creative design allowed us to bring Coinbase’s universe to life in a way that’s immersive, engaging, and easily understandable for a wide audience.

With our funky geometric style and rhythmic animations, we crafted a video designed to grab attention and spark interest from the very first seconds. Highly appreciated by our client, the video was featured for several months on Coinbase’s homepage, helping introduce the platform to millions of users around the world. With a playful yet impactful approach, it highlights the service’s key features while showcasing its unique visual identity.
