WWF "Food Waste" - Mixed Media Video

FEVR collaborated with the World Wildlife Fund to create a mixed-media PSA revealing the hidden impact of food waste on wildlife, natural resources, the climate, and household budgets.

From Awareness to Action

Built around a “Did You Know?” framework, the film moves from striking facts to practical solutions. The message is simple: nearly half of all food waste happens at home, giving everyone the power to make a difference.

Building the Visual Language

We combined photography and footage from WWF’s digital library with typography, illustration, textures, and animated graphic elements. The mixed-media approach helped connect environmental facts with everyday habits in an accessible and engaging way.

Storyboard and Animation

Each sequence was carefully storyboarded to balance information, emotion, and pace. Visual transitions connect wildlife, food, and individual actions while supporting the campaign’s shift from urgency to empowerment.

Created for Broadcast and Digital

The campaign was delivered as 90-, 60-, and 30-second spots for broadcast television, social media, and digital platforms, with versions produced in both English and Spanish. Continuing to gain momentum each year, mixed-media animation has become one of the most impactful ways to combine imagery, footage, typography, and animation in 2026.

A “Did You Know?" Mixed Media Animation

After several rounds of client feedback to refine the creative direction, the project enters the animation stage. The key challenge here is to synchronize the visual rhythm with the pacing of a “Did You Know?” format, a dynamic stream of facts, impactful visuals, and strong data points. Each graphic element (photo, icon, typography, illustration) appears with precision, contributing to a rich, fluid, and engaging visual narrative. In this context, the mixed-media approach becomes a language in itself, able to grab attention while fully embodying the brand’s mission and values.
