America250 - Event Video Contents

FEVR takes Times Square for America250

FEVR was selected by Show+Tell and the America250 team to create the large-scale animated content displayed across the exterior and interior screens of One Times Square in New York.

Created for the celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, the project transformed one of the world’s most iconic digital landmarks into a monumental visual experience.

Creative direction rooted in America250

Working from the America250 identity and its distinctly American red, white and blue palette, we developed an extensive creative and design exploration.

Our team presented multiple graphic concepts, compositions and visual directions, exploring how the existing identity could expand into a bold and flexible system designed specifically for the architecture and screens of One Times Square.

Once the main creative directions and keyframes were approved, we translated the visual system into motion.

Hundreds of assets, one visual system

FEVR designed and animated more than one hundred custom assets, combining motion design, mixed media, typography and graphic animation.

The production required a highly structured workflow, with precise file naming, asset organization, multiple variations and constant adaptation across screens with very different dimensions and exceptionally high resolutions.

Every piece had to work individually while remaining part of one consistent visual language across the entire building.

From Keyframes to Motion

With the design system established, our motion team brought each composition to life, defining transitions, rhythm, typography and graphic movement across the different sequences.

The challenge was not simply to animate individual pieces, but to create a coherent body of content capable of running across the building for hours of continuous programming while maintaining visual consistency and impact.

From the Studio to Times Square

The final content was deployed across both the exterior and interior screens of One Times Square, including monumental large-scale displays overlooking Times Square.

Presented in one of the most visible locations in the world, the project reached live audiences in New York while also becoming part of the wider national coverage surrounding the America250 celebrations.

America250 marked the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, celebrated across the United States throughout 2026 and culminating around July 4 with concerts, fireworks, community events and large-scale cultural celebrations nationwide.

In New York, Times Square became one of the symbolic centers of the celebration: One Times Square hosted a major live benefit show on July 3, followed by a historic moment at midnight when the Times Square Ball dropped outside of New Year’s Eve for the first time in its 120-year history, launching July 4 and America’s 250th birthday.
